Drowning Here in Summer's Cauldron

This week is the real beginning of Caitlin's summer break. The good news is that the Cait and I get to hang out. The bad news is that I've pretty much lost all of my fiction time. Hopefully, I'll get some more time for novel rewrites Friday morning.

Even though Caitlin's on break, life really hasn't settled down much. Yesterday we went to the dentist, and today we went to her pediatrician for the kindergarten check-up and immunizations. Everything is fine. Caitlin's pedie was very impressed with her development. Otherwise, the days have been filled with Fraggle Rock, Disney films, and Big Finish Doctor Who audios. With the help of my trusty iPod, I'm even getting some work done on Fluid Links during the Disney onslaught.

Our copy of Spaced arrived yesterday. Lynne and I are very happy about this. In many ways, it's like watching secret home movies of my wasted youth.

Spaced DVDs for Region 1

Hooray!

For those of you who don’t have a multi-region hack on your DVD player, there’s some good news. The brilliant UK show Spaced is finally getting a Region 1 release on July 22.

For some reason, they’ve added commentaries from Quentin Tarantino, Kevin Smith, Bill Hader, Matt Stone, Patton Oswalt, and Diablo Cody. Apparently, Americans will not know if it’s funny unless some vaguely famous people tell them that it is.
