How to balance parenting and writing
Today was an experiment. Now that Caitlin is home for break, I’ve lost my morning writing time at Panera. Not writing was making me coo-coo for Coco Puffs, so this morning I worked in the dinning/Doctor Who room while Caitlin watched television in the living room.
It went fine for a bit, but then little miss started to nod off. Since her naps seem to cause seizures, that experiment had to end.
I still feel better now that I got some more revision work done. It wasn’t a huge amount, but every little bit helps.
I’m not as happy with this section of the novel, but I have some ideas about how to fix it. I can at least see the traps that I fell into. Now I just need to find a way to circumvent them.
