Hooray for Bear!!!

Congratulations to our friend matociquala for winning her first Hugo. She deserves it. "Tideline" is an amazing story. Bear is now officially the fist Hugo winner to have had a glass of lemonade in our living room. :)

Unfortunately, our friend shsilver did not pick up a Hugo for Best Fan Writer or Best Fanzine for that issue of Argentus that had my Doctor Who essay. He lost the Fan Writer award to some nobody guy named John Scalzi who I guess has a blog or something. shsilver will have to wait until next year, just like our beloved Cubs usually do. :(

At least it's been over a month

As we were about to step out the door for dinner at our friend's house, Caitlin started a big seizure. I shouldn't be greedy, but I wish we could have been seizure free a little longer. Watching one is always devastating. It was the first time rarelylynne had seen a seizure in over six months, so it hit her a little hard. Feel free to send her and Caitlin some hugs.

Caitlin is up and about now after sleeping for four hours. The Cubs game should distract us for the rest of the evening.
