The sky keeps crying
Sep. 13th, 2008 09:52 amMy thoughts go out to the people of Texas getting hit by Ike. Though it's not a hurricane, the rain here has been pretty constant for the last 24 hours. We live in a very wet Illinois right now. It sounds like we have another 48 hours of this.
Is it me, or is there no such thing as “normal” precipitation anymore? I miss my youthful/non-home-owning innocence. To think, there was a time in my life that I liked storms.
We have a relatively quiet day scheduled. Lynne wants to do some house cleaning, and I'm hoping to write a bit while keeping Caitlin amused. Later, we have some friends coming over. I would say that our life is boring, but I think we have plans for every weekend after this until New Year's
