We're all a bit exhausted around here. After a very busy week, the weekend was only slightly restful. Today, we celebrated Caitlin's birthday with our local friends. It was lovely. We ate cake and watched little girls play. Caitlin received many wonderful gifts, including the Star Wars prequel DVDs. I guess that means I have to rewatch them.

Next week is going to be just as insane. Tomorrow is Caitlin's IEP meeting at school. This is the meeting that establishes Caitlin's educational contract with the school. It determines things like goals, services, and equipment. Hopefully, this will be a smooth meeting. I'm not expecting trouble, but you never know.

Tuesday is Caitlin's actual birthday. Unfortunately, [livejournal.com profile] rarelylynne will be gone all day with NPR celebrity Peter Sagal. He's doing a major event for the Friends of the NIU Libraries, and Lynne is his liaison. I will be spending the evening in all likelihood watching Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Such is life.

We had some snow today. This is the time of year that I miss Connecticut the most. It was quite the novelty having a fall that lasted more than three weeks.
