The End of RTD and Tennant
Jan. 6th, 2010 02:58 pmI thought about reviewing "The End of Time," but then I realized that there really wasn't a good reason to pick apart the story. In the final analysis, it was like all of RTD's "event" episodes; it had the same emotional strengths and structural weaknesses. I've learned to accept his bad with the good.
We hosted a viewing party for the finale. Our usual Doctor Who buddies Sarah and David came over with their friend Jeremy. We also had the special treat of our good friends
nnwest and
dark_aegis visiting us (we miss them already). It really enhances our viewing experience when we're surrounded by other people who love the show as much as we do.
It's going to take some time to figure out what the last five years have meant to me as a Doctor Who fan. I never expected the show to return. Though it wasn't always perfect, I can't think of a better 4.5 years of television. Thank you, RTD and Tennant. You did the impossible. :-)
