Sunday Morning
May. 2nd, 2010 09:10 amIt's strange to be home on a Sunday. After all of the excitement of Odd Con and the Chicks Dig Time Lords signing event, I almost forgot what it's like to get things done around the house.
Yesterday was Caitlin's "button day." That's the day we change the mic-key button in her stomach for her g-tube feedings. Even though I've been doing it for years, it's still pretty stressful.
After we finished Cait's tiny medical procedure, we engaged in some retail therapy and grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. Thanks to some sales and coupons, we scored good deals on new jeans and socks for me and a new comforter set for our bed. Is there any better feeling than trying on new pants and realizing your size hasn't changed?
rarelylynne and I were both extremely excited about getting the new bedding since our old comforter has a major tear in it from, presumably, some aggressive sleeping.
I woke up early this morning and critiqued a short story for a new potential writers' group. I really hope this group works out. I'm very envious of my friends who have this resource in their communities.
Lynne's ringmastering a book appraisal fair today, so it's just me, the girl, and a Cubs game. Once Lynne gets back, there might be some viewing of a certain British television program.
So what's new with all of you?
