Things That Break My Heart

Does everybody remember the incident Caitlin and rarelylynne had at the Old Navy a few weeks ago?

Caitlin's first homework assignment this year was to write about what scared her the most about Second Grade.

Her answer: girls. Specifically, girls who make fun of her drooling.

:(

Most of the time, I'm very happy that Caitlin is cognitively at age and aware of her universe (unlike the vast majority of kids with Aicardi syndrome). This week, I'm reminded that this awareness can have major drawbacks.

Otherwise, Caitlin is having a very good first week of school.
