An Open Letter to My SF Book Club
Dear SF Book Club Members,
Just because I loathed a book, it doesn’t mean that I think less of those who loved it.
I guess I really hated that book tonight. Roger Ebert reviewing North kind of hate. I only realized after the fact that I had turned into Ralphie beating up Scut Farkus. Some of the things I said still hang over Lake Michigan.
But man did that book deserve it.
