Now that Caitlin's back in school, I can start throwing myself back into my fledgling writing career. I'm hoping to make some major progress on a few projects before Caitlin's hip surgery. Here's my housekeeping list:
1- Finish The Scarlet Queen. This is my mid-grade fantasy novel. I'm just past the halfway point-- more or less.
I feel really good about this project. I had some nice, supportive conversations about it with
tim_pratt ,
sarah_prineas , and
kellymccullough during convention season. I think this is a special project if I can pull it off. At the very least, nobody told me my ideas sucked. ;-)
2- Continue new Sekrit Project. This is a big nonfiction book with two wonderful collaborators. Many of our peeps will be very excited about this once we can announce it.
4- Continue submitting "Pediatric Wards" and "Nostalgia Trips."
