Caitlin was sitting on my lap and straightening her legs. I asked her if she wanted to work on standing; she indicated yes. I let her stand next to the coffee table, and she put down her hands for support. I went down to just a thumb on her hip, then I removed it.
For the first time in her life, my daughter Caitlin stood up with only her own support. It lasted for one minute. She still needed the table, but we’ll take it.
I am about to burst with pride.
It had been a rough day for her. They thought that she had a small seizure at school today. She’s now eating and watching Arthur with a huge, self-satisfied smile.
My daughter is my hero. I’ve never known a more amazing human being.
