My Grandmother Passed Away

My grandmother finally passed away this morning. I’m still in that shock phase. Kathryn “Kitty” Taylor was 80 years old and surrounded by those who loved her.
She was a strong, amazing woman. Happily married for over 60 years, my grandmother and grandfather had a deep, special relationship that’s a model for my own. She has three amazing children, five grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters. Her life was full and happy.
She was a pillar of strength and stability for me during my fluid childhood. She was loving, loyal, and consistent. She and my grandfather encouraged my love of learning and travel. She taught me that careful planning and persistence were the keys to achieving your goals.
Nothing I can say can encapsulate how magnificent she was, or how she impacted those around her.
I love her so very much. I will miss her.
