Happy Things

michaeldthomasHere are some happy things that are coming up for me:
1- I have a new Doctor Who Sekrit Project that I’m working on for a fanzine. It’s an essay that’s been kicking around in my brain for a couple of months, so I’m excited to be actually writing it.
2- I’m going out to dinner with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rarelylynne and a Big Name Author soon. As always, I can’t say much about the details since this is a confidential business meeting about the author’s archives. This person is an amazing author, and I’m very excited to meet them. The NIU SF Archives are shaping up as one of the best in the country in a very small amount of time. Two more authors said yes just last week bringing the number to 22 SFWA eligible authors. There should be three or four more authors who will be officially announced after WisCon. I am so proud of Lynne’s vision.
3- WisCon is less than two weeks away.
4- I have a new academic Doctor Who book coming from Amazon. It’s called Time and Relative Dissertations in Space: Critical Perspectives on Doctor Who. It contains a bunch of essays by numerous top academics and fans. I am really looking forward to reading it. It has great buzz from the UK fan community.
