michaeldthomasThe Good News: The Cubs still have the best record in baseball, and they’re cruising tonight with a 7-0 lead in the 4th.
The Bad News: Alfonso Soriano was hit in the left hand by a pitch. He’s currently at the hospital getting checked out. We can survive losing him again, but not for too long. He can carry a team when he’s hot. Of course, he can also go for a week flailing at every pitch that’s up at his eyes.
ETA: Cubs win 7-2. Ryan Dempster tosses his first complete game since my daughter was born. Unfortunately, Alfonso Soriano has a "minimally displaced fracture of the left fourth metacarpal" and will be out for 6 weeks.
