Tamora Pierce Joins NIU SF Archives

rarelylynne's crusade to save modern SF for posterity continues. Today, she made the announcement that Tamora Pierce is now officially archiving her work at NIU. The list keeps growing and growing. In the coming decades, NIU will be one of the major centers for SF studies. Hopefully, this will mean that SF/F will be recognized as the major literary movement of the last 40 years, and we will no longer be subjected to cutesy crap like The New York Times' review of Moorcock's work from this weekend.

I'm glad that I can finally talk about the tammypierce thing. We had an awesome breakfast with her at WisCon. It took Lynne and her about ten minutes to conduct business. After that, I had the privilege of listening to two amazing, brilliant women dissect Little Women with each other. It was an absolutely fascinating conversation.
