How to balance parenting and writing
Jun. 6th, 2008 11:13 amToday was an experiment. Now that Caitlin is home for break, I’ve lost my morning writing time at Panera. Not writing was making me coo-coo for Coco Puffs, so this morning I worked in the dinning/Doctor Who room while Caitlin watched television in the living room.
It went fine for a bit, but then little miss started to nod off. Since her naps seem to cause seizures, that experiment had to end.
I still feel better now that I got some more revision work done. It wasn’t a huge amount, but every little bit helps.
I’m not as happy with this section of the novel, but I have some ideas about how to fix it. I can at least see the traps that I fell into. Now I just need to find a way to circumvent them.
